This project was the result of experimentation with Autodesk Maya’s MASH Network tool. We spent our studio investigating the ways this tool could allow us to generate and control spatial environments. We began in flat-grid studies and eventually moved on to immersive, motion-filled spaces. These studies influenced and created the groundwork for the Distillery Pavilion. Controlling Chaos was a way to explore how a boundless digital technique could potentially translate into a working structure; it takes a wild approach in the freedom of digital space.
